GlueEd is a new concept from Glue Solutions that arms small business owners with the tools to market their companies effectively. Using the knowledge of a marketing agency, Glue has developed a three-month marketing boot camp that gives entrepreneurs the confidence to take control of their marketing strategy. GlueEd consists of seven group sessions and three private teaching sessions. The final result is a comprehensive strategic marketing plan and the knowledge to execute it.

GlueEd has been developed to cater to individual business’s needs and values to provide a unique hands-on educational experience. GlueEd’s mission is to teach what they don’t teach in school and bring practical learning into Glue’s hands-on training centre. The program is designed to empower business owners with the knowledge and confidence to market their companies effectively.

Upon completion of GlueEd, graduate clients earn credits towards additional marketing and design services to execute their plan. Glue’s certified partners, who have also undergone Duct Tape Marketing training, provide these services. These services include graphic design, copywriting, website development, search engine optimization and public relations.

With the GlueEd system graduates are immediately surrounded by peer and professional support to help their businesses succeed in the long term.

Duct Tape Marketing is the foundation for the GlueEd program. This system, developed by small business marketing guru John Jantsch, is a simple, effective and affordable coaching program with a focus on the needs of small businesses.

About Fiona Friesen – CEO

Fiona Friesen is the founder of Glue Solutions and has been the Chief Visionary since its inception in 2004. Friesen spent 10 years in post-secondary and earned three degrees, including a Masters before launching Glue Solutions. After pursuing a variety of degrees, Friesen discovered one of the most valuable lessons was, “Learning how not to learn.” This helped her achieve academic success and now Friesen is brings those valuable lessons to her clients.

Friesen combined her educational experiences with an affinity for hands-on learning and a passion for small business to create a one-of-a-kind small business marketing training program in Calgary: GlueEd. Friesen’s goal is to provide the practical, hands-on training that is often lacking in colleges and universities, and package it for busy entrepreneurs.

Using the principles of Duct Tape Marketing, Friesen has developed a program that emphasizes the need for a clearly defined marketing strategy before actual marketing tactics are employed. She believes entrepreneurs who have a clear understanding of their marketing goals will be empowered to make their own decisions on which marketing tactics will best meet their needs and budget. Ideally, Friesen would like to, “Work herself out of a job,” by giving entrepreneurs the confidence and ability to execute their own marketing plan.
